Browsers Types / Versions
The site has been designed to support the browser types and versions listed below. You may not be able to use all the features of the site or view all the content with other browser types or with browser versions other than those listed: Microsoft Internet Explorer, America On Line (AOL), Netscape, Mac Internet Explorer (Current and last version)
Active Scripting
Many of the pages presented by our site are interactive and require JavaScript® to display properly. To identify your browser version and to determine if JavaScript is enabled, scroll down the page to obtain directions for your specific browser.
Cookies
To place an order on our web site's On-line Store, your browser must be set to accept cookies. Sturm, Ruger only uses cookies to remember what items are in your Shopping Cart while you are processing an order. Sturm, Ruger does not use cookies for any other purposes or to compile information about your use of our site. Refer to your browser's help information to see how to accept cookies.

1. In the menu at the top of your browser window, click "Help".
2. Select "About Internet Explorer".
3. The version of your browser is displayed in the popup window.
Checking For and Enabling JavaScript®
By default, JavaScript is enabled in your browser. To verify if JavaScript is enabled, please follow the instructions below:

In the menu at the top of the Internet Explorer browser window, click "Tools" and select "Internet Options".
2. In the popup window, click the "Security" tab.
3. Click the "Custom Level" button and scroll down to where "active scripting is located. "Active Scripting" must be enabled for sections of our web site to work properly.

2. Select "About Netscape".
3. The version of your browser is displayed in the popup window.
Checking For and Enabling JavaScript®
By default, JavaScript is enabled in your browser. To verify if JavaScript is enabled, please follow the instructions below:
1.
Select the "Preferences" menu item in the "Edit" menu.
2. Click on the "Advanced" label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window that pops up, then on "Scripts & Plug-in" just below.
3. On the right hand side, selecting the checkbox marked "Enable JavaScript for Navigator" will enable JavaScript, which is required for some areas of our web site to work properly.
4. Clicking on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Preferences window will apply any changes you may have made.

1. In the menu at the top of your browser window, click "Help".
2. Select "About AOL".
3. The version of your browser is displayed in the popup window.
Checking For and Enabling JavaScript®
When using the AOL browser, you may get a JavaScript error, but when using an external browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer, this does not occur. AOL uses compressed graphics by default. This does not allow JavaScript to work while browsing inside AOL. It also makes photos you view on web pages look less than their best. By default, JavaScript is enabled in your browser. To verify if JavaScript is enabled please follow the instructions below.

Click "My AOL".
2. Click "Preferences".
3. Click the "WWW" icon.
4. Click "Web Graphics" tab.
5. Unchecking the box next to "Use Compressed Graphics" is required for some areas of our web site to function properly.

2. Under "Web Browser" select "Security Zones".
3. A security level that is "Medium" or below is necessary for sections of our web site to function properly.
